Ennig Counselling
The River Ennig flows past my door in the Black Mountains, Wales. Ever present, ever moving, the river’s meandering journey reflects the motion of our lives, from source to confluence and on to the open sea.
“Time is a river which sweeps me along, but I am the river…” – Jorge Louis Borges
A Humanistic Existential Approach
I offer a Humanistic Existential approach, which is based on the philosophy of what it is to be a human being in the world, with its limitations and responsibilities. Therefore, we’ll explore what it means to be you, in your world: where are you right now and where would you like to be? How do you relate to people and to yourself? How do you manage uncertainty, anxiety, endings and choice? Our relationship will form an important aspect of the therapy, allowing you to (re)discover who you are and what really matters to you.

Services

Talking Therapy
From 6 sessions to longer term, as required, these 50 minute sessions can be held in person, online or by phone. My approach is Humanistic Existential, as outlined above and I offer a safe space and time for you to explore and make sense of your life.
As an experienced and trained trauma therapist, I can also offer support with stabilisation, managing panic attacks and flashbacks; coping strategies; psychoeducation and understanding and managing difficult emotions. I can fully support you on your journey to finding hope as you process your experiences.
Fees: £50 per hour

Creative Therapy
With an arts background and interest, I can help you work through issues creatively, if you would like to. This can be shaped naturally over time or you may already have an idea as to how you would like to work. I’m happy to incorporate elements of art, photography, music, craft or writing within our sessions.
I also work with artists and creatives, exploring practice, process, motivation or obstacles to the development and expression of personal creativity. I’m happy to work online or in person.
Fees from: £50 per hour

Walking and Talking
Let’s go outside. Being in nature can help us to feel part of the wider world, allowing us to explore ideas of freedom, connection, belonging and much more.
Fully trained, I offer flexible sessions, weekly or fortnightly, in and around the Black Mountain/Brecon Beacons area. Please contact me for more details.
Fees from: £50 per hour
Concessions are available for student counsellors and those on a low income – please enquire below.
I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation for you to get a sense of whether I might be the right fit for you and to answer any questions. Please contact me to arrange a convenient time for this conversation.
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor, fully insured and holding ethical body membership with the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society).
Please leave a short message. I look forward to hearing from you.
